Does not degrade. Armadyl Helm is 1.6m, not an exorbitant amount. It has +3 ranged attack bonus over Karil's.I only use prayer on Dharok, Karil, and Ahrim and I kill them in that order at the start. When I asked on how to upgrade from my b dhide top some clan members told me to buy arma/karil's. Now, arma is wayyy to expansive for me, so I looked up Karil's. The offensive stats on it are the same as dhide. Melee def stats are worse. It does have better mage def and 2 more range def which both are meh.It has roughly the same dps as karils, but with a special attack. Also with karils you use 1 bolt per attack which can be costly in the long run, while with msb (e), you don't use arrows nearly as often. My only suggestion would be barrows gloves , fcape, and a warrior or berserker ring.Blessed dhide is better as the improved magic defence is irrelevant, the ranged defence difference is marginal, the increased melee defence of d'hide helps against snakelings, and the prayer bonus helps not use as much supplies. I doubt it matters too much. I have been learning zulrah fairly successfully with blessed dhide and mystics. Compared to Black D'hide, Karils does give less Melee defence, but it gives more Magic and Ranged Defence. The main use for Karils is Magic Defence and I believe it is the strongest Magic Defence armor without a Melee Attack negative, which is why you might see it used more for Melee than for Ranged. Unlike Blessed D-Hide, or the Armadyl Chainskirt it doesn't have negative offensive melee bonuses. Elite void bottoms sadly do the same job better.
